*NILGIRI COLLEGE AND AMAL COLLEGE ADVANCE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE THROUGH NEW AGREEMENT*

*THALOOR:* The PG Department of English at Nilgiri College of Arts and Science (Autonomous) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the PG and Research Department of English, Amal College of Advanced Studies (Autonomous), Malappuram, on August 19, 2026.

This strategic agreement formalizes years of mutual goodwill between the two prominent institutions.

*The Amal delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Mohan Babu, Vice Chairman of the Governing Body; Dr. Renjith, Vice Principal; Mr. Ummer, Campus Manager; and Ms. Soumya P B, Head of the Department of English.* The Amal delegation was led by *Dr. Shihabudheen C, Head of the Department of English*, and included *Dr. P. M. Abdul Sakir, Associate Professor from the PG & Research Department of English.*

*Dr. Rashid Gazzali, Governing Body Chairman, MD and Secretary of Nilgiri College, interacted with the delegates and emphasized that this collaboration would go beyond traditional outcomes to advance more meaningful contributions in academics and research.*

The newly inked pact opens promising avenues for joint-research projects, intellectual exchange programs, faculty development, and student enrichment initiatives designed to benefit both campuses.

Faculty members of the English departments of both colleges were also present to witness the occasion.
